Princeton TV Poster Features Local Resident.
This is the launch poster for the new branding campaign for Princeton TV. It features America's original revolutionary and former Princeton resident, George Washington, as the symbol of Princeton TV. Historical note: While the Continental Congress met in Princeton, General George Washington lived at a local Princeton area residence called Rockingham, using it as his final Revolutionary War headquarters in 1783.
Widely acknowledged as a great orator and community organizer, George Washington embodies the revolutionary power of a media entity where all voices are heard and respected.
With appreciation and thanks to Princeton-based Mara Marich and Sharyn Alice Murray for concept/ design.

BIG NEWS: New Co-Host, Ms. Nadia Hussain
We are thrilled to have Nadia Hussain onboard, co-hosting the Princeton TV Megathon. It's one thing to look believable as a Hindu goddess, another to have a job as a justice fighter, and yet something else again, to possess a wicked (some may say naughty) sense of humor. But hey, that's Nadia Hussain. Contrary to popular belief, Nadia wants it to be known that she is actually not a blue-skinned Hindu deity. In the real world she is full time social justice warrior, a breakdance fighter, and a disgruntled Linux user. But as Nadia herself says "more than anything, I'm is a fat white nerd trapped in a chick's body, so I'm like totally stoked that I have boobs."
There's only one thing that is going to keep the Megathon boat afloat once we hit the 24 hour wall. And that's humor. Thanks Nadia, looking forward to watching you helm the Megathon ship.

Focus on Eileen Beirne, Princeton Megathon veteran.
Eileen Beirne appeared at the Princeton TV studio early in 2008, her steady soul a welcome presence in the energy vortex. Eileen's quiet smile magically added a serenity to the 2008 Megathon. Both poet and photographer, she toiled long shifts behind the camera, and even made a rare on camera appearance as well. We asked Eileen about her favorite Megathon 2008 moments.
"Watching Fahad in the throes of sleep deprivation dancing wildly within his cape, by himself out in the hallway 25 hours into it. Not feeling my left leg after 3 hours behind the camera. Anything Tom Florek does in front of the camera. Watching humble diplomatic and knowledgeable George always guiding behind the scenes. The changing flux and flow of new faces around the clock. The champagne at New Years finish to a program launch knocked together with great success by a dedicated band of techies, nerds, communications majors, and rag-tag volunteers."
Eileen, we know it was madness - and we're thrilled you're going to be part of the 2009 Megathon on May 15.

A Shout-Out to the Princeton Business Community
The Princeton TV Marketing Communications Team had an awesome day today filming local merchants giving video shout-outs on camera. The footage will be edited into tv spots scheduled to run on-air on Princeton TV, to publicize our non-stop open house 30 hours of May madness. We want to thank everyone at Decked, Princeton's own skateboard store, John at the local cigar haven - A Little Taste of Cuba, Terri at the irresistable new Cupcake shop, 4th generation Princeton trader Rachel at Princeton Army and Navy Surplus, and Vin the barista at Small World Coffee, all on Witherspoon Street. As well, we shot the affable Wes at The Princeton University Store on Nassau. Last but not least it was a pleasure to meet the team from the world famous Princeton Record Exchange on South Tulane - a place so well-known, it has its own wikipedia entry, for realz! www.prexwiki.com (Thanks to the exotic and lovely Sabrina for performing admirably on camera - you're a natural!)
If you are a local merchant who'd like to get involved, we're actively looking for sponsors for the megathon, just email princetontv@yahoo.com to find out how!

Don't mess with crime fighter & Megathon Host...The Captain!!!

The Captain emerged from the shadows in 2005 to share his message of truth and justice. Along with being a full time crime fighter and an amateur botanist, the Captain co-hosts “Breeezin’ with Bierman” with legendary Princetonian Adam Bierman. He has become a staple of the local music scene and frequently invites talented acts to perform on the show. The Captain is also proud to be the mastermind behind the Megathon and was quoted as wanting to “run things this year like Stalin ran Russia”. Some say he is so hot you can see steam rising from his body.
Giddy up, Captain.

60 seconds with Megathon Host: Adam Bierman

This is the first in a series of bite-size profiles about the people who create Princeton TV. Adam Bierman will be one of the hosts of the 2009 Princeton TV Megathon. He is a life-long Princeton resident and a brilliant wit, to boot.
In his own words:
I am a man waiting for mega stardom to happen. Perhaps the "end times" will come first. I used to be a congenial man (though some do not consider me a "real man") who worked for the planet and the people who inhabit it, but now it is all about ADAM. Except for my wife, Sandra, who has successfully neutered me, my daughter Rachel, and too many dogs.
Told you he was witty! It takes a special talent and a great sense of humor to anchor a 30 hour megathon.
Keep coming back to this blog for more profiles from the people who will be working behind and in front of the camera at this year's Megathon.
